WHen I have something I have to write I say MY ARTICLE in Terry Griffith tones. Even before this examiner business. It's funny that it's all kind of become valid now, so she's kind of my icon. . .
and I did use my bit on JUST ONE OF THE GUYS for a writing sample, so I can credit Terry for getting me the gig, too.

You're brave. I think I'm at a point in my life when I just don't want to deal with criticism, anymore. I probably wouldn't even attempt to "go legit".
So you skipped "too legit," and just went with "to quit."
well, i kind of backed off for a while because i felt the same, (and i seemed to keep getting pregnant) and i've found out that writing about films and tv is much more fun, safe, and actually positive than writing anything about birth or parenting---the ridiculous drama that comes with that is enough to drive anyone to sterilization. . . .

I dunno...I guess there are still some things I wouldn't mind doing. Like, I'd write video game reviews or something. You don't have to worry about sounding smart or pretending to love something just because it's artsy.
